Where to begin?

 

Nice concept, ex fiancées who split up some months before Christmas, son doesn’t think he’ll be home Christmas due to work, decides he will go home, finds his family have invited his ex to their house instead (why not!). 

 

Here begins their to and fro of bickering, and family dynamics that just seem a bit off. 

 

Over acting mother (and others, it would be unfair to single her out) and zero to no chemistry between the lead actors. I kind of felt like I wouldn’t be bothered either way if they ended up together at the end or not

 

Unfortunately fell a bit short of the mark here. Good concept just lost it somewhere in the execution. 

I wanted to enjoy it, but just didn’t,
